Uttarakhand : AMU Alumni Association, Dehradun celebrates Sir Syed Ahmed Khan’s birthday as “Sir Syed Day”

AMU Alumni Association, Dehradun celebrated the birth anniversary of Sir Syed Ahmed Khan Saheb, the founder of the world famous Aligarh Muslim University as “Sir Syed Day” with great fanfare at ONGC Officers Club. The program was started by lighting the lamp by Chief Guest, Chief Engineer, Uttarakhand Public Works Department Ayaz Ahmed Sahab. The special guest of the program was Dr. Abdul Qayyum Sahab, Member of Police Service Authority, Justice. On this occasion, Dr. Irshad Ahmed Sahib, while highlighting the activities of the institution, was welcomed by the chief guest through the secretary of the institution, Dr. Sajid Jamal.

The President of the institution, Engineer Ajay Kumar Garg, while introducing the life of the chief guest and the special guest, also gave details of the social work being done by them. On this occasion, in addition to Max Hospital, Coronation Hospital, Mahant Indresh Hospital, Jolly Grant Hospital, All India Institute of Medical Sciences Rishikesh, Graphic Era, DIT, Justice Department, Mussoorie Dehradun Development Authority, Uttarakhand Power Corporation, and all such institutions and The members working in the departments were also introduced. Today, after getting various degrees from AMU, not only in India but also outside India, its students are serving the country and society by working in their respective fields.

Ghazals and poetry were also presented by some artists on this occasion. Very nice poetry was presented by Rijul Sahab. The famous tarana of the university and the national anthem were sung in the program. Along with the members, their family members also participated on this occasion. It was suggested by some doctors of the institution and the members working in the judicial disciplines that the work of social concern should be done more in future by the institution. At the end of the program, a heartfelt vote of thanks to all was given by Dr. Sajid Jamal. All the members residing in Dehradun participated in the program.
