PM Modi is coming to Uttarakhand on a two-day visit. During this, PM Modi will offer prayers in Kedarnath and Badrinath. PM Modi will also lay the foundation stone of the ropeway in Kedarnath. This ropeway project will be 9.7 km long. It will connect Gaurikund with Kedarnath. This will reduce the travel time to both the places by about 30 minutes. The pilgrims reaching Kedarnath are very happy about this ropeway. Pilgrims say various connectivity projects, including ropeways, will help the elderly and those who cannot afford expensive travel services.

Pilgrims who reached Kedarnath are also very excited about PM Modi’s visit. Everyone says that people are getting direct benefit from various development projects of PM Modi. Along with the pilgrims, the priestly society and the saintly saints are also very happy about the development work being done in Kedarnath and other Dhams. Regarding the construction of Kedarnath ropeway, local people say that this will increase tourism here. There will be no problem for the devotees to come and go. People’s time will also be saved. Let us inform that PM Modi will lay the foundation stone of the ropeway project for Kedarnath and Hemkund Sahib. The ropeway of Kedarnath will be 9.7 km long. It will connect Gaurikund with Kedarnath. At present, it takes 6 to 7 hours to cover this distance. Hemkund ropeway will connect Govindghat with Hemkund Sahib. Its length will be about 12.4 km. With this, this distance can be covered in 45 minutes. Right now it takes almost a whole day to cover this distance. This ropeway will also connect Ghangaria with the Valley of Flowers National Park.

These ropeways will be developed at a cost of about Rs 2430 crore. These will be eco-friendly and will be accessible and safe to travel with. The PMO said that these infrastructure development programs will give a boost to tourism in Uttarakhand and this will boost economic activities in the region. During this visit of the Prime Minister, the foundation stone of projects worth Rs 1,000 crore for widening of roads will also be laid.

PM Modi has visited Kedarnath five times in five years

After becoming the Prime Minister, for the first time, PM Modi reached Kedarnath on May 3, 2017. After this PM Modi again reached Kedarnath on 20 October. During that time he had laid the foundation stone of five big projects worth Rs 700 crore for Kedarnath reconstruction. After this, PM Modi reached Kedarnath for the third time on November 7, 2018. During this, he did the on-site inspection of the reconstruction works. PM Modi reached Baba Kedarnath’s Dham for the fourth time on 18 May 2019. On 5 November 2021, Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited Kedarnath Dham for the fifth time. This time he offered prayers at Kedarnath temple. Apart from this, he also unveiled a 12 feet tall and 35 tonnes weight statue of Adi Guru Shankaracharya. Along with this, projects worth Rs 130 crore were inaugurated.
