President Draupadi Murmu and PM Modi greet the countrymen on Diwali

President Draupadi Murmu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday extended Diwali greetings to the festival of lights. In his message to the nation, President Murmu said that people across the country should use the lamp of knowledge to illuminate the lives of the needy. She said that I pray for the happiness and prosperity of all the people of the country.

He wrote, ‘Wishing everyone a very Happy Diwali! On this holy festival of light and joy, let us try to bring happiness in the lives of those in need by lighting the lamp of knowledge and energy. On this great festival, I pray for happiness and prosperity in the lives of all the countrymen.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi tweeted on the occasion of Diwali today i.e. Monday 24 October, ‘Wishing you all a very Happy Diwali. May this festival of lights bring happiness and good health in everyone’s life.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah is also among other leaders who have congratulated the country. Amit Shah said, “Wishing everyone a very Happy Diwali. May this festival of lights bring happiness, health and prosperity in everyone’s life.”

Defense Minister Rajnath Singh also extended his best wishes on Diwali. “Wishing everyone a very Happy Diwali. May this festival bring happiness, health and wealth in your life.”
