A case of punishment of a child for chanting Bharat Mata ki Jai has come to light in the missionary school of Guna, Madhya Pradesh. The child was made to sit on the ground for hours. The teacher also warned him to put Jaykara at home, not in school. As soon as the information was received, the leaders of Hindu organizations reached the school and created a ruckus. He also recited Hanuman Chalisa outside the school gate. An FIR has been registered against two teachers in the matter. According to the information, the matter is of Christ School in Guna district. The victim student said that after the national anthem, I raised the slogan of Bharat Mata Ki Jai. A teacher grabbed my collar and pulled me out of line. Said I should go to the principal. After this my class teacher told me to put these cheers at home and not in school. He kept me sitting on the ground for four-five periods.

The father of the victim child says that my son studies in class 7 in Christ School. He had chanted ‘Bharat Mata ki Jai’ after prayer in the school on Wednesday. The teachers present on this matter got furious. The child was sentenced to sit on the ground for 4 periods. He was intimidated. There was fear on the face of the child who reached home, he told the whole thing during interrogation.
The school apologized in writing
After this some parents, people associated with the student council, Bajrang Dal people reached the school and created a ruckus. A large number of people had gathered at the school gate. First everyone staged a sit-in and demanded action against those responsible, then also recited Hanuman Chalisa outside the school. On information, police and administration officials also reached the spot. After the growing uproar, the school management apologized in writing for the incident. Also, assured action against the concerned teacher. After the protest, an FIR was registered against teachers Justin and Jasmina Khatoon in Kotwali.
In this case, the school principal Father Thomas says that the students were going to a meeting after the national anthem to select the captain and vice-captain, when a student raised the slogan ‘Bharat Mata Ki Jai’. He raised this slogan as a joke and not as patriotism. We will hold a meeting of the disciplinary committee to look into the matter. Guna ADM Virender Singh Baghel says that some parents and some organizations are protesting outside the school after a student was punished for allegedly shouting ‘Bharat Mata Ki Jai’. The DEO has taken statements. An FIR will be lodged on the basis of the complaint received.
Home Minister said – Police will take action
State Home Minister Narottam Mishra says that after getting information about the incident, I have spoken to the officials. Information has been received about the FIR registered against teachers Jasmine Khatoon and Justin. Investigation is on, police will take action. I am told that they (the school) have apologized.
