AAP candidate’s bail forfeited in Haryana bypolls

The results of the by-elections held in seven assembly seats in six states are almost out. The performance of the Bharatiya Janata Party has improved as compared to earlier, while the Congress has looked very weak. The biggest setback has come to the Aam Aadmi Party. After the victory in Punjab, there was a lot of enthusiasm in the Aam Aadmi Party. Party chief Arvind Kejriwal is constantly trying to strengthen the party in other states, but in his home state Haryana, the AAP candidate’s security has been forfeited.

First know, what were the results of the by-election?
BJP candidate Bhavya Bishnoi has won from Adampur seat of Haryana district. This seat fell vacant after the resignation of Bhavya’s father Kuldeep Bishnoi. Kuldeep was an MLA from Congress. Later he joined the Bharatiya Janata Party. In the by-election, BJP had fielded Kuldeep’s son Bhavya Bishnoi from this seat. 29-year-old Bhavya has assets worth more than Rs 10 crore. These include movable assets worth Rs 8 crore and immovable assets worth more than Rs 2 crore. Bhavya has studied from Oxford University.

A total of 22 candidates were in the fray in the by-election. Satinder Singh was made a candidate from the Aam Aadmi Party. Satinder had to be satisfied with just 3,420 votes. BJP’s Bhavya Bishnoi got the highest 67,492 votes and Congress’s Jai Prakash got 51,752 votes. Kurda Ram of the Indian National Lok Dal was at number three. Numberdar got 5,248 votes.

Kejriwal was born in Haryana itself
Arvind Kejriwal, the Chief Minister of Delhi and Convener of Aam Aadmi Party, was born in Hisar district of Haryana. The 54-year-old Kejriwal spent most of his childhood in Hisar, Ghaziabad and Sonipat. Father Govind Ram Kejriwal was an electrical engineer, while mother Geeta Devi was a housewife. Arvind Kejriwal did his BTech from IIT Kharagpur. In 1985, he got 563 rank in IIT JEE exam.

Will Haryana bypoll results affect Gujarat, Himachal and Delhi MCD?
To understand this, we spoke to senior journalist Pramod Kumar Singh. “Every party tries to take advantage of the results that came just before the elections. The BJP has got an edge in the by-elections held in six seats in seven states. In such a situation, BJP will try to take advantage of these results in Gujarat, Himachal Pradesh and Delhi MCD. Through these results, BJP leaders will try to tell in all the three states that public confidence is increasing in their party.

Pramod further says, ‘BJP will also campaign for the results of Aam Aadmi Party in Gujarat, Himachal and Delhi MCDs. The security of his party’s candidate was forfeited in Kejriwal’s home state.

Pramod also sets an example for this. It is said, ‘BJP has started campaigning for the performance of Aam Aadmi Party. BJP Yuva Morcha leader Tajinder Pal Singh Bagga has tweeted the Adampur seat result. Making fun of Arvind Kejriwal’s party, he wrote, ‘Arvind Kejriwal made a world record. Became the first international party to come from the bottom number one.
