Senior Congress leader Jairam Ramesh said – G-20 logo became the election symbol of BJP, BJP does not leave any opportunity to campaign

The Congress has attacked the BJP after the unveiling of the logo of India’s G20 Presidency. Let us tell you that on Tuesday, PM Modi had unveiled the logo of G20, which depicts a lotus flower. Senior Congress leader Jairam Ramesh tweeted that 70 years ago, Nehru rejected the proposal to make the Congress flag the flag of India. Now, the BJP’s election symbol has become the official logo for India’s G20 Presidency! The shocking thing is that we know by now that Mr. Modi and the BJP will not waste any opportunity to brazenly promote themselves!

Kanchan Gupta, Senior Adviser to the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India, hit back on this tweet by Jairam Ramesh, saying that 70 years ago when Jawaharlal Nehru was the Prime Minister, Lotus was declared as the National Flower of India. Do you (Jairam Ramesh) find this shocking too? BTW, successive Congress governments have issued currency coins with the lotus symbol.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday unveiled the logo depicting the lotus flower (which is also the symbol of the BJP party) for India’s G20 presidency. Modi said that the seven petals of the lotus represent the seven continents of the world and the seven notes of music. The Prime Minister said that I congratulate the countrymen on the historic occasion of India’s G20 Presidency. ‘Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam’ is a symbol of India’s compassion towards the world. The lotus portrays the cultural heritage of India and the belief in bringing the world together.
