Mask is not necessary for air travel, but government’s instructions after the risk of corona reduced

Masks are no longer mandatory during air travel, but passengers should use them as a priority. The government has issued instructions related to this on Wednesday. Explain that during the Corona crisis, masks were made mandatory during air travel. Now the government has banned its necessity for air passengers. However, giving information about this decision on behalf of the government, it has been said that air passengers should continue to use masks as a precautionary measure.

The Ministry of Civil Aviation on Wednesday said that the use of masks during air travel is not mandatory but passengers should use masks as a priority amid the decreasing number of corona virus cases. Till now the use of mask or face cover was mandatory while traveling in flight. The ministry, in a letter sent to scheduled airlines, said the latest decision has been taken under the government’s policy of graded approach to COVID-19 management response.

It has been said by the ministry that from now on in-flight announcements can only mention that in view of the threat of Kovid, all passengers should use mask or face cover. In-flight announcements are no longer required to announce any reference to fines or punitive action.

As per the latest official data, the total number of active coronavirus cases in the country was only 0.02 per cent of the total infections and the recovery rate has risen to 98.79 per cent. At the same time, the number of people who died from Corona increased to 4,41,28,580 and the death rate was recorded at 1.19 percent.
