The Chief Minister will also take rest for the night in “Main Sevak Chaupal”. During the review of the Panchayati Raj Department at the Secretariat, the Chief Minister said that some days in our villages are of special importance on religious, cultural and historical grounds. The Chief Minister instructed the officials to mark these special days and organize programs with enthusiasm in the villages. The foundation day of the Gram Sabha will be celebrated as a festival. In this, the migrant people living outside those villages should be specially motivated to participate. High officials should also participate in these.

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that a chaupal would be set up for well-planned development of gram panchayats. People’s representatives should also be invited in the chaupal and officers should also participate in the chaupal. Gram Sabha wise roster should also be made for this. Giving top priority to the suggestions given by the local villagers to these chaupals, an action plan should be prepared for the development of the villages. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that real India resides in villages. Special attention should be paid to the development of villages for the overall development of the state. For the development of villages, a cabinet meeting should also be organized in a village, in which proposals related to the development of villages should be made. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami instructed the officials in the meeting that in 2025 Uttarakhand will celebrate the silver jubilee of the state’s establishment. Till then, special attention should be paid to what effective efforts can be made in the direction of making villages ideal villages. For this, a master plan should be made for every village. Short term and long term goals should be set.

The Chief Minister said that public welfare schemes being run by the Central and State Governments should be widely publicized through various mediums to the general public. Boards should be put up in the villages to inform about the new schemes of the government. All the departments should take the schemes of the government to the people through their own level. The Chief Minister said that best practices related to development of other states can be adopted.
