Approval of review petition in Chhawla gangrape case, CM Dhami expressed gratitude to Delhi LG

Let us tell you that in the case of Chhawla rape and murder in the capital, Lieutenant Governor Vinay Kumar Saxena has approved the Delhi government to file a review petition (review petition in Chhawla case) against the acquittal of the three accused. Now Solicitor General Tushar Mehta will present the government’s side in this sensational case. In February 2012, in the case of rape and murder in Chhawla, Delhi, the Supreme Court on November 7 had acquitted the three convicts of this gangrape, while earlier the High Court and the lower court had sentenced them to death. The court had said that the prosecution could not present sufficient evidence.
