Uttarakhand : DGP gave an extended statement regarding the conversion law

Talking to the media, DGP Ashok Kumar, who reached Haldwani late last evening, said that efforts are being made by the police in the state to strengthen their resources to control crime. The DGP himself admitted that there is a huge shortage of police in the state, so constables will be recruited again in 2023 so that the security system can be further strengthened.

Apart from this, instructions have been given to be strict in the border to prevent crimes. Regarding conversion, he said that the conversion law is being brought by the government, but before this, strict action is being taken in all the cases related to conversion, which have come to the notice of the police, LIU and the police are completely alert about conversion. Cases of conversion are also coming to the fore, strict action is being taken against them.
