Uttarakhand : Dhami government is going to recruit 10 thousand snow heroes, budget is 66 crores, will be deployed in empty villages

The migration from the border areas of Uttarakhand has not only created a crisis for the state but it has also put the country’s security in danger. If the villages along the border are empty then it is obvious that the borders will become unsafe. Now the state government is going to take a big step to deal with this situation. The government has a plan to deploy 10,000 Him Veer in the vacant border villages. That is, those areas which are covered with snow. The state government has also requested the Center to provide financial assistance for this. Under this scheme, the state government has demanded Rs 66 crore per year for the honorarium of Him Veers and for their training. Under this scheme, retired soldiers, retired jawans of paramilitary forces and youth of the state will be deployed in snow-clad areas of border districts. Before deployment, they will be given various other training like rescue operations, dealing with emergency situations, living in icy places. The scheme was also mentioned in the budget speech of the government. In the center of this scheme, the government has mainly kept border districts like Uttarkashi, Chamoli and Pithoragarh. Ex-servicemen, youth and firemen returning from the army will also be deployed in border villages as soon as the budget is approved by the Centre.
