Union Minister Giriraj Singh: It is necessary to make a law to control the population in the country
According to the news agency ANI, he said, “If this law is not made, then there will be no social harmony and unity in the country, nor will the country develop.”
He claimed that “before 1978 China’s GDP was less than India’s GDP but as of today China is more prosperous than India because in 1979 China brought ‘one child policy’.”
In a program organized at Delhi’s Jantar Mantar, he said, “From UP to Uttarakhand, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, the Common Civil Code should have come 70 years ago today. The BJP governments in the states have resolved to bring it.” .”
He said, “No power in the world will be able to stop the population control law in the coming days.”

In July this year too, Giriraj Singh had mentioned China in the matter of population law and said that there is a need to enact a population law in the country on the lines of China.
He had said, “If China had not stopped its population by bringing a strict law in 1979, the population there would have increased to more than 60 crores today.”
