Uttarakhand / Dehradun: Girl student raped in hotel, blackmailed by making video, case filed

A case of raping a girl student in a hotel room and blackmailing her by making a video has come to light. A case has been registered on the complaint of the victim in Patel Nagar police station. It is alleged that while coming to college, the youth has been harassing and defaming for the last one year. Porn videos also went viral.

According to Patel Nagar Kotwali police, investigation is being done by registering a case against the accused Tanveer resident of village Baleki Bhagwanpur Roorkee Haridwar. The girl student alleges that in May 2022, Tanveer had given her cold drink mixed with intoxicant and made a video after raping her in a hotel. It is alleged that he has raped three times at different places by threatening.

The victim student says that for the last one year Tanveer has been molesting her while coming to college. Accused Tanveer Ahmed called him claiming to be a relative and pressurized him to have a physical relationship. On protesting, he called relatives and started defaming them. When the victim narrated her ordeal to her brother, she was abused and threatened to kill her.

Case filed for using obscene words
A case has been registered for using obscene words and threatening a school going girl student. Police is investigating by registering a case on the complaint of the victim’s father in the city police station. It is alleged that Singalmandi Kusum Bihar, a resident of Shamshad, and other youths chased the victim and came near the house and used obscene words. Threats were also given while abusing.
