The BJP has strongly condemned Harish Rawat’s announcement of doing politics on the Ankita episode, terming it extremely unfortunate. State President Mahendra Bhatt said that the government is committed to follow the court’s decision and Congress leaders, especially senior leaders like Harish Rawat, should refrain from playing petty politics in the matter under consideration.
Mahendra Bhatt said that strict and fair action was taken on the instructions of CM Pushkar Singh Dhami after this tragic incident came to the fore. Presently this matter is under consideration in the court and our government is fully committed to follow whatever decision or instructions come. He said that it would have been better if the Congress would have cooperated in the campaign to get justice for the daughter of Devbhoomi, but it is not proper for a senior leader like former CM Harish Rawat to do petty politics in the case pending in the court.
Bhatt said, the people of the state are fully satisfied with the policy and intention of the BJP government regarding this issue, which the Congress leaders are not able to digest. The High Court has also rejected the petition for CBI inquiry, considering the SIT investigation as correct, but regrettably till yesterday, the Congress, which has been making political statements in the guise of this petition, has insulted the decision of the court by protesting. He said, till now the Congress has been denying the allegations of doing politics regarding this sensitive and tragic incident, but Harda’s announcement has put a seal on the allegations by exposing them.
Mahendra Bhatt while answering a question on the conversion incident in Uttarkashi Purola, said that the country’s most stringent conversion law has been brought to curb such incidents. Strictest action will be taken under this law in this episode and all pending cases before this. This law and the action taken from it will prove to be an example for those who have the intention of conversion.
On the question of giving responsibility in the government, Bhatt said that a meeting has been held on this subject at two levels and further a meeting is proposed with state in-charge Dushyant Gautam. After that the tentative list of liabilities will be handed over to the government. It is our endeavor that the responsibilities can be given soon in the new year.
Regarding the expansion of the organization, the state president told that the formation of the team of three districts was yet to be done, which will be announced today. Apart from this, the state team of two fronts will also be announced in a day or two and overall by January 10, the team will be formed in all the mandals. Teams have been fixed from the state for this process, which will migrate to the mandals and send a panel of names.
