Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that in the year 2023, a decision will be taken on the implementation of Uniform Civil Code in Uttarakhand. Apart from this, the government will take rapid steps for the all-round development of the state, including the upcoming plan for women empowerment, women’s policy, prevention of migration. He said that with the aim of making Uttarakhand the best state of the country by the year 2025, the state government is determined to live up to the aspirations of the people. While wishing the people of the state for the new year, the Chief Minister said that together we should be determined to contribute 100 percent in the overall development of the state and build a prosperous and self-reliant Uttarakhand.

In his message, Chief Minister Dhami wished for the happiness and prosperity of the people of the state. He said that in the new year, with the cooperation of the common people, the government will work to take the state to new heights. The Chief Minister listed the achievements of his current tenure and said that last year the government constituted a high-level committee to implement the Uniform Civil Code in the state as per its promise in the first cabinet. Uniform Civil Code will be implemented on the basis of final draft. This law will prove the significance of social equality by removing unequal loyalties. He said that in the year 2022, the government got two historic bills passed in the assembly. After passing the Uttarakhand Religion Freedom (Amendment) Bill, there is now a provision of strict law regarding forced conversions in the state.
30 percent horizontal reservation system will be implemented once again
With the Uttarakhand Public Service (Horizontal Reservation for Women) Bill, the system of 30 percent horizontal reservation for women in state services will be implemented once again in the state. He said that 300 MW Lakhwad Multi-Purpose Project, Jamrani Dam Multi-Purpose Project, Manskhand Mandirmala Mission, Chardham Circuit, Kanwad Yatra, Road, Rail, Ropeway to make the mythological temples of Kumaon grand like Kedarnath and Badrinath Dham. And air connectivity, development of border areas, satellite center of AIIMS in Kumaon, Mukhyamantri Vatsalya Yojana, Mukhyamantri Udiyaman Khiladi Unnayan Yojana, calendar for 32 recruitment examinations and many other schemes were also mentioned. He said that to make the state corruption-free, the government has launched the ‘Corruption-free Uttarakhand 1064’ app. Prompt action is being taken on the complaints received in this.
The Chief Minister also put forward the resolutions for this year. He said that women’s policy, upcoming plan for migration prevention, speeding up one district-two product scheme, development of border areas and expansion of air services there, strengthening of disaster management system, work of 180 crores in the next phase in Kedarnathdham, Badrinath Dham’s work as per master plan, Doon-Mussoorie ropeway, Yamunotri ropeway, Manaskhand Mandir Mala Mission, 20 seater aircraft service for Pithoragarh, cabinet meeting in first village, health, education and employment-self-employment, Ganga and other rivers Work will be done for cleanliness.
