Truth and Reality

There was no pulse, no life in the heart, still the person was alive, the tongue was moving

There has been a lot of progress in the field of science and medicine in the last few years. Due to science, many such miracles have also become possible which once seemed impossible. At the same time, many such miracles are seen in medicine as well. Many organs are necessary in the body for any human being to stay alive, but the heart is the most important among them. If the heart stops beating, the person dies at the same time. But there was also a person in whose body neither the heart was beating nor his pulse was running but still he was alive and was talking comfortably. Know how this miracle was possible.

The doctors took out the heart after surgery

The name of this person who survived without a heart was Craig Lewis. Actually, Craig Lewis had a heart condition, due to which he was about to die. Doctors had said that he would not survive for more than 12 hours. However, two doctors operated on his heart and removed it and replaced it with something that kept him alive. Craig Lewis was the first person on whom this experiment was done and it was successful.

Neither the heart was in the body nor the pulse was running

Actually, the doctors operated on his heart after taking the permission of Craig’s wife, while he was alive, the doctors removed his heart and replaced it with a machine called “continuous flow”. This allowed blood to flow through Craig Lewis’s body without a pulse. A few hours after the operation, he became alive and there was no heart in his body, yet he was alive and breathing. Craig was also talking after the operation. Craig Lewis, 55, was diagnosed with amyloidosis, a rare autoimmune disease. Which builds abnormal proteins in the body and rapidly causes heart, kidney and liver failure.

The first person on whom this experiment was done

Dr. Billy Cohn and Dr. Bud Frazier of the Texas Heart Institute proposed implanting a “continuous flow,” device that would allow blood flow to Lewis without a pulse to keep Craig alive, which his wife agreed and Craig found a new life. Earlier, he had done this experiment on the calves of the cow. Both the doctors together made this device and tested it on about 50 calves. They removed the animals’ hearts and replaced them with the device. The device works by supplying a constant flow of blood through the body using blood to transfer it. Before the device was installed, Lewis was placed on a dialysis machine, a breathing machine, and an external blood pump.

Craig lived for over a month

At the same time, Linda was surprised when she heard the pulse of her husband Craig after his operation. He said I heard and it was a hum, which was wonderful. He didn’t have a pulse. Sadly, Lewis’s condition began to deteriorate as the disease attacked his liver and kidneys and he passed away in April 2011. After the operation he lived without a pulse for over a month, with his doctors saying that the pumps had worked flawlessly.
