Chances of rain in these states including Delhi today, IMD issued Orange Alert regarding mountains

After several days of respite from severe cold and cold wave in North India, the IMD has predicted a change in weather from Tuesday. According to the Meteorological Department, there may be heavy rain or snowfall in Jammu-Kashmir, Ladakh and Himachal Pradesh on 24th and 25th. The Meteorological Department has predicted heavy rain and snowfall in Uttarakhand on January 25 and 26.

It may rain in these states including Delhi
The Meteorological Department has predicted light rain in many parts of Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi and Uttar Pradesh on 23rd i.e. today. Apart from this, according to the Meteorological Department, there may be light to moderate rain with thunder during January 24 to 26.

Meteorological Department expressed the possibility of dense fog
According to IMD, no significant change in minimum temperatures is likely over most parts of northwest and central India during next 5 days. The Meteorological Department has also predicted dense fog during the night and morning hours over Himachal Pradesh and Bihar during the next 24 hours and over Odisha during the next 48 hours.

Meteorological Department issued orange alert regarding mountainous areas
The Meteorological Department has issued an orange alert for heavy rain and snowfall in the mountainous areas. Avalanche warnings have also been issued in eight districts of Jammu and Kashmir.

Delhi’s air polluted
Explain that the air quality in the national capital Delhi reached the very poor category on Sunday and the city’s Air Quality Index (AQI) was recorded at 373. According to the System of Air Quality and Weather Forecasting and Research, the air quality at Lodhi Road in the city reached the severe category with an AQI of 429.
