These roads of Delhi will remain closed on Monday and Tuesday, read the advisory of the traffic police

Traffic advisory has been issued for two days in view of the Military Tattoo and Tribal Dance program organized on Monday 23 and 24 January in the capital Delhi. In the advisory issued by the Delhi Traffic Police, it has been said that the Ministry of Defense is going to organize the Military Tattoo and Tribal Dance festival on Monday and Tuesday at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium as part of the Republic Day celebrations in the 75th year of Independence. . Due to this some restrictions have been imposed due to which Bhishma Pitamah Marg, Lodhi Road, Max Muller Marg, Maharishi Raman Marg, Archbishop Marg, Subramaniam Bharati Marg and Lala Lajpat Rai Marg corridor will be affected from Lodhi Road to Andrewganj flyover. In view of the restrictions, commuters are advised to avoid plying on these routes from 11am to 9pm on Monday and Tuesday.

On behalf of the traffic police, it has been said that other commuters including employees working in SCOPE Complex, CGO Complex and nearby offices are advised to use public transport on Monday and Tuesday. There is also a metro station of Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium to come here, which falls on the violet line of the metro.

Around 50,000 people are expected to attend the event, considering the arrival of civil and military VVIPs/VIPs and dignitaries, apart from the total capacity on the streets around the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium. Apart from Delhi Metro, visitors are advised to use the park and ride scheme for the Military Tattoo and Tribal Dance festival. Under this, they should park their vehicles near Pragati Maidan (Bhairo Marg), National Stadium and Thyagaraj Stadium.
