Uttar Pradesh: The young man was committing LIVE suicide on Instagram, the company sent a message from America and thus his life was saved

A Facebook alert saved a youth’s life in Ghaziabad. Here a young man named Abhay Shukla was preparing to commit suicide on Instagram Live. As soon as his video appeared at Meta Headquarters, the parent company of Facebook and Instagram in California, the team sent an alert to the UP police. Police saved the youth by tracking the mobile location. The special thing in the whole case is that it took only 13 minutes from the time the alert was sent to the arrival of the police. The youth was counseled for about 6 hours and when the family arrived, the youth was handed over to them.

The noose started making live on Instagram

The UP Police had tied up with Meta Company in March last year that if a person’s suicide-related post is seen on Facebook or Instagram, the police should be alerted immediately. Meta had sent an alert to the police after seeing that Abhay Shukla had hanged himself in the ceiling fan of the room. On Tuesday night at 9.57 pm, Abhay Shukla came live on Instagram and started making the noose. Seeing the video, the headquarters of Instagram-Facebook sent an email alert to the social media center of UP Police. Abhay’s registered mobile number was also mentioned in this email. When the police immediately took the number on surveillance, the location turned out to be Ghaziabad.

The young man’s life was saved in just 13 minutes

The Social Media Center transferred this alert to the Ghaziabad Police Commissionerate. From there the message was given to the Vijayanagar police station. After this, the police saved Abhay even before he was hanged. After sending the message from America to Ghaziabad till the police reached, the process took only 13 minutes. Because of this the young man’s life was saved.

When money kept for sister’s marriage drowned, took such a step

Abhay Shukla, 23, hails from Kannauj and currently resides in Vijaynagar S Block, Ghaziabad. He used to work in Gurugram’s Cashify company, which deals in old mobile cell-purchase. Abhay used to take old phones from dealers and give them to the company. The company used to fix the phone and sell it in the market at a good rate. Abhay used to get 20 percent commission on every mobile. Abhay got benefited in this, so after leaving the job for a few months, he started doing this work privately, but after some time, Abhay started facing losses in his work. To compensate for this, he borrowed 90 thousand rupees from his mother. The mother had kept this amount for the marriage of Abhay’s sister. When this amount also sank, Abhay got disappointed and reached to commit suicide.
