Uttar Pradesh / Firozpur: Troubled by wife and mother-in-law, husband ate sulfas and died by jumping from the roof
After marriage, the husband committed suicide by consuming sulfas in a quarrel with his wife. The wife and mother-in-law were present at his house when the quarrel took place. During the quarrel, the youth jumped from the roof after swallowing sulfas. Seeing the son falling down, the father ran to him and informed him about eating sulfas. The family took the son to the hospital for treatment where he succumbed to his injuries. After the police complaint, the mobile of the deceased was checked, then the video made before the suicide was found by the police, on the basis of which both the accused women were arrested after registering a case of forcing the deceased’s wife and mother-in-law to commit suicide.
Wife and mother-in-law used to trouble together
The incident took place at 11 am on Wednesday in village Rasulpur under police station Makhu. ASI Lakhwinder Singh of Thana Makhu told that the complainant Iqbal Singh, a resident of village Rasulpur Makhu, told the police that his son Darshan Singh was married 10 years ago to Jharud Kheda, a resident of Sandeep Kaur. After the dispute, she had two daughters. The complainant stated that his son Darshan Singh often used to quarrel with his wife, due to which he had isolated his son at home and he used to live in the upper part of the house. Iqbal Singh told that some time back his son Darshan Singh had a fight with his wife and Sandeep Kaur’s mother Kamaljit Kaur also came there regarding this matter.
Died during treatment in hospital
On Wednesday, while quarreling with the accused, Darshan Singh came to the verandah of the house and jumped from the top. When he reached to see the son, he told that he had consumed a tablet of sulfas after getting upset with his wife. They took Darshan Singh to the hospital for treatment but he died there. Father Iqbal Singh told that when he checked the mobile phone of his son Darshan Singh, it was found that his son had made a suicide video in his mobile after being upset with his wife and mother-in-law. Lakhwinder Singh, who is investigating, said that the police have registered a case of abetment to suicide against the accused wife Sandeep Kaur and mother-in-law Kamaljeet Kaur of the deceased and arrested them.
