Relief material left for Joshimath, CM said – the situation is normal, rehabilitation will happen soon

CM Pushkar Singh Dhami flagged off the relief material from Uttarakhand Sadan on his Delhi tour and left for Joshimath. During this, the CM said that we have sent relief material to Joshimath. It is our endeavor that the people affected by the Joshimath disaster are rehabilitated as soon as possible. CM Pushkar Singh Joshi said that now the water leakage has reduced in Joshimath, the situation is normal up to 70 percent. There is no new crack in the buildings of Joshimath and the flow of water has also reduced. Rehabilitation work will be done after the report of the agencies working there. Please tell that due to landslide in Joshimath, cracks have appeared in the houses of hundreds of families. Because of which people’s homes have come under threat. Because of which the government and the administration have displaced people from Joshimath city to safer places as a precautionary measure.

According to statistics, cracks have appeared in 863 houses so far due to landslide in Joshimath. Out of which 181 houses are in unsafe zone. Because of which 282 families have been affected. The government has made arrangements for 947 affected people to stay in relief camps. Where basic facilities including food, medicine, drinking water have been provided for the affected.

Along with this, according to Chamoli district administration, relief amount of Rs 388.27 lakh has been distributed to 585 affected people so far. The government says that rehabilitation work will be started after the situation in Joshimath becomes normal.
