Nepali government imposed ban on rupee, goods are not available with Indian currency

It has become difficult to buy goods with Indian currency in Nepal. The government of Nepal has banned currency above 100, due to which Indian people going shopping in Nepal are returning without any reason. There is anger among the people of the border areas of Pithoragarh district of Uttarakhand due to the changed behavior of Nepal. People have said that Nepal has been buying with Indian currency for years, now they are surprised by the change in the behavior of the businessmen of Nepal.

Traders are not taking Indian rupees these days in the market of neighboring country Nepal. Indian currency above 100 is banned in Nepal. An order in this regard was passed in the year 2020-21. This bill is being implemented strictly these days. Because of this, Nepali traders are refusing to accept Indian currency. The political reason behind this is also considered important. The current government in Nepal wants to promote Nepali currency Rupees only in the market. In view of this, the Government of Nepal has banned big notes in the market.
