Uttarakhand: More than 2 lakh registrations for Chardham Yatra so far, CM said all previous records will be broken

The Chardham Yatra will begin on April 22 with the opening of the doors of Gangotri and Yamunotri Dham. For which the government-administration is working diligently. At the same time, CM Pushkar Singh Dhami said that the preparations for Chardham Yatra are going on at a fast pace. Last year about 50 lakh people had visited, this time more than 2 lakh registrations have been done so far. We hope that this time the number of passengers will break the record of previous years. On the other hand, the officials associated with the Hotel Association are going to meet the Chief Minister Pushkar Dhami and the Tourism Secretary today regarding online registration for the pilgrims coming for the yatra and the abolition of limited number of compulsions. Officials associated with the association say that Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Dhami will be drawn to the disturbances in the Chardham Yatra conducted in 2022. Soban Singh Rana, president of the Yamuna Valley Hotel Association, says that in 2022, a large number of pilgrims had to return without darshan due to the limited number of compulsions for registration and darshan in Dhams. Which is a violation of the rights of religious freedom provided in the constitution. He said that this time in the Chardham Yatra which is going to be conducted in 2030, it should not be repeated, some points will be raised prominently in front of the Chief Minister and the Tourism Secretary.

Main demand of the association

The association will demand to end the system of online registration for the devotees coming for the Chardham Yatra. Along with this, it will also demand to remove the compulsion of limited number of pilgrims coming for the yatra. Apart from this, the demand to end the compulsion of online registration for darshan will be raised prominently for the original residents of Uttarakhand coming for the Yatra. On February 21, arrangements for online registration for pilgrims coming to visit Badrinath, Kedarnath have been started. But why not in Gangotri and Yamunotri? Due to which the passengers coming to these two dhams are facing inconvenience. That’s why there will be a demand to start online registration soon here too. A demand will be raised for medical facilities, police administration, traffic facilities and special attention to the national highway for the pilgrims coming on the Chardham Yatra.
