‘All cases will be closed as soon as Manish Sisodia and Satyendar Jain join BJP’
The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Saturday hit out at the BJP, accusing it of misusing central agencies to fulfill its ulterior motive. AAP’s Rajya Sabha MP Raghav Chadha said in a press conference that all the leaders of opposition parties who are facing CBI- ED cases, if they leave their party and join BJP, all their cases will be closed.
Citing the example of Himanta Biswa Sarma, Shubhendu Adhikari, Narayan Rane and Mukul Roy surrounded by alleged corruption charges, he said that like these leaders, if Manish Sisodia, Satyendar Jain, Tejashwi Yadav, Sanjay Raut, Farooq Abdullah, K. If Kavita also leaves her party and joins BJP, all her cases will be closed.
Chadha said that on one side there is Manish Sisodia, on whom cases were filed by CBI and ED in August 2022. From August 2022 to March 2023, the agencies checked Manish Sisodia’s house, ancestral village, office, bank account, locker, but did not find even a single penny. Despite this, Sisodia was jailed. On the other hand, a few days ago, eight crore rupees cash was found in a raid from the house of a BJP MLA in Karnataka, but he was not arrested.
BJP condemned AAP’s tweet
At the same time, Delhi BJP has condemned a tweet made by the team of former Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia on Saturday. In this tweet, Sisodia has been compared to freedom fighters. The BJP has said that Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leaders should not play with the sentiments of freedom fighters by tweeting like this.
Sisodia and his comrades cannot even imagine the inhuman treatment meted out to the freedom fighters by the British rulers. The BJP spokesperson has said that Sisodia, who was jailed for an economic crime by misusing his political position, would not even have an idea of the suffering of the freedom fighters.
