Indigo flight going to Doha diverted to Pakistan, decision taken after medical emergency – death of sick passenger

The IndiGo flight going to Doha, the capital of Qatar, was diverted to Karachi in Pakistan due to a medical emergency. However, the sick passenger was declared brought dead by the airport medical team.
Indigo flight 6E-1736 was going from Delhi to Doha. The flight was diverted to Karachi due to a medical emergency. The airline says that unfortunately the passenger could not be saved on reaching the airport.

IndiGo said, “We are deeply saddened by this news and our prayers and best wishes are with the family of the deceased. At present, arrangements are being made to transfer the rest of the passengers to another flight”.
Passenger was a Nigerian national
According to the information received later, after emergency landing in Karachi, the flight flew back to Delhi with the dead passenger. Sources say that the landing was done to save the passenger, who was a Nigerian citizen.
