When the lover from district Farrukhabad went to meet Hardoi on the phone of the married girlfriend, her husband caught her. Tied him with a rope, beat him and forcibly poisoned him to death. The police have taken the husband-wife into custody after registering a report on the complaint of the lover’s mother. Adampur resident Pratipal informed the police about the thief being caught in the house. When the police reached the village, Pankaj (23), a resident of Dhumghat of Fatehgarh police station in Farrukhabad, was handed over to him in a critical condition by calling him a thief. Police took him to CHC, where he died during treatment. Suspecting the story of Pratipal and his wife Preeti, the police took them into custody for questioning.
SP Rajesh Dwivedi reached the village along with ASP Nripendra Force and after questioning the villagers apart from the husband and wife, the story became clear. After this the forensic team collected samples from the spot. Pankaj’s mother Malti filed a murder report against the couple for tying up her son, thrashing him and poisoning him. According to the mother, the son had gone to Sunderpur in Himachal Pradesh to work as a laborer, where he came in contact with the woman. On Thursday, the woman called home and committed the murder.
According to the police, during interrogation of the couple, it was found that Pratipal along with his wife Preeti and two children used to work as laborers in Sunderpur, Himachal Pradesh. Four months ago he came to village Adampur with his family. The wife called Pankaj home on Thursday night. Pankaj quietly reached his house in the night. Preeti took him to the second floor of the house. Pratipal got to know about it. She changed sides when her husband arrived. Then, along with her husband, tied Pankaj to a pillar in the roof and after beating him, made him drink poisonous substance. The police have also recovered a solution of poisonous substance from the room of the accused.
