Uttarakhand: The Chief Secretary held a meeting regarding the master plan in Jageshwar Dham, gave these instructions to the officials of the tourism department

Chief Secretary Dr. S. S. Sandhu held a meeting with officials of the tourism department regarding the Jageshwar Dham master plan at the secretariat on Thursday. He instructed the officials that along with Jageshwar Dham, the surrounding areas should also be developed from the point of view of tourism. The Chief Secretary directed that in the Jageshwar Dham Master Plan, the traffic system of the area should be developed according to the coming 30-40 years. The areas which may become bottle necks in the future should be designed in such a way that even after the increase in traffic, there is less possibility of jam. He said that due to the presence of forest area in the surrounding area, the possibilities of eco-tourism should also be explored, along with this, the possibilities of trekking etc. should also be explored according to children and youth. He said that old Jageshwar area near Jageshwar Dham should also be developed by including it in the master plan.

The Chief Secretary instructed to identify such places of interest across the state, where binoculars can be installed. He said that there are many such view points in Uttarakhand from where the entire range of Himalayas is visible. He said that there is a lot of crowd in the Garhwal region during the Chardham Yatra in Uttarakhand, so after the development of the Kumaon region, such religious and tourist places of the Kumaon region can be a good option for the tourists. Secretary Sachin Kurve and other departmental officers were present on the occasion.
