Corona wreaks havoc again in China, deaths set record, 239 killed in a single month

The worldwide corona epidemic may have come to an end, but in China the corona is again wreaking havoc. Strict rules for prevention of corona were removed

China said on Thursday that many strict rules were implemented in the past to prevent the spread of Kovid-19, but most of the prevention measures were removed in the past. After their removal, a big increase has been registered in the figures of deaths in the month of June. In the month of June, 239 deaths occurred due to corona. The Chinese Centers for Disease Control and Prevention says there were 164 reported deaths in May and none in April and March.

Zero covid policy was adopted in 2020

China started adopting the zero COVID prevention strategy in the early 2020s. But in December, after some preparations, they were removed, relaxing the measures. Due to this, there was a last big jump in corona infected cases. According to the Chinese CDC, deaths peaked in January and February this year, reaching a peak of 4,273 on 4 January, but then gradually reduced to zero on 23 February.
