A fresh threat has been issued to Israel from Iran. Iran’s Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian said on Monday that if the war in Gaza is not stopped then it will spread to the region. He said that this would be an explosive situation which would be difficult to control. Speaking at the Doha Forum, he said the scope of the conflict has already expanded to include Lebanon and Yemen. He said this while talking to a CNN journalist. Israeli army attacks in Gaza have been continuing since the attack on southern Israel on October 7. So far, more than 17 thousand people have died in Gaza.
That’s why American soldiers are becoming targets
In an interview with CNN’s Becky Anderson, Hossein Amirabdullahian said in response to a question, ‘At any time there is a possibility of a major explosion in the area, which cannot be controlled by any party.’ The foreign minister cited attacks on US bases in Iraq and Syria, Houthi attacks on ships in the Red Sea and violence along Israel’s northern border as evidence that regional violence has spread beyond the Gaza border. He further said, ‘At least every week, we get a message from America. It is said that American bases in Syria and Iraq have been targeted by some groups. These groups are protecting the Arab and Muslim people of Gaza. That’s why they are targeting American bases in Syria and Iraq.
Israel cannot defeat Hamas
Amirabdollahian says that even if Israel keeps fighting for the next 10 years, it cannot defeat Hamas. He described Israel as a regional proxy of America and said that it can never be considered as a country. He said that the Palestinian organization Hamas is ready to fight for many years. He has so much capacity that he can produce weapons and buy them. Iran has supported Hamas’s incursion into southern Israel on October 7. In that attack, Hamas terrorists had killed 1200 people and taken more than 200 people hostage.
Appeal not to support Israel
Iran’s Foreign Minister said that the attack on October 7 was the result of the creation of Israel 75 years ago. He said that Israel has also occupied the land inside the borders of Palestine. In his words, ‘We do not recognize Israel as a state. It has existed only as an occupying power for 75 years. Amirabdollahian also appealed to the US to abandon its unconditional and unwavering support for Israel.
