To identify the new variant of Covid JN.1, samples of both the infected patients have been sent for genome sequencing.

Covid has also been confirmed in a 72-year-old woman admitted in Doon Hospital. The woman has been admitted to the Covid ward of Doon Hospital. The team of doctors is keeping an eye on the woman’s health. Secretary Medical Health and Medical Education Dr. R. Rajesh Kumar said that the health department team is in constant touch with both the patients and their families and there is no cause for concern.

Health Secretary said that on the instructions of Honorable Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, the Health Department is fully prepared for Covid management. Continuous instructions are given to all District Magistrates, Chief Medical Officers and Medical Superintendents to keep all preparations complete for the treatment of Covid at the hospital level. have been given and preparations are also being monitored through mock drills.
