After the deadline, how far has the issue of seat sharing reached in the INDIA alliance? Left told

A meeting of top leaders of the constituent parties of the opposition India Alliance was held in Delhi on 19 December. In this meeting, the alliance had set a deadline of December 31 regarding seat sharing. The date of 31st December has passed. The movement of time has now entered the election year but nothing has been decided yet in the opposition alliance. Now the constituent parties of India Alliance seem to be active regarding seat sharing.
According to the left parties included in the India alliance, talks are being held informally regarding seat sharing. If sources are to be believed, the constituent parties of the alliance are busy brainstorming for seats at their respective levels. Congress will hold its internal meeting in two to three days and prepare the seat sharing formula. After this the round of discussions will begin with regional parties.
If sources in the Left parties are to be believed, the leadership is also accepting that sporadic differences will continue in different states and the decision will have to be taken by the top leadership of each party. As political parties move towards agreement on the issue of seat sharing, the date of the formal meeting will also be decided. According to the Left, there is no discussion at present regarding making him the convenor of the India Alliance. The entire focus is on seat sharing.
