Through the Uttarakhand Building and Construction Workers Welfare Board (BOCW), the government is going to give a big gift to the registered workers and their dependents. The government will provide ESI (medical facility) to all such workers from the board’s budget and free employment education to the children. The government is going to do this work through the scheme proposed under the social security of registered workers.

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami government is working on a big scheme for social security of registered workers working in the construction sector in Uttarakhand and workers registered in the e-portal. According to the plan, the Government Board is going to make arrangements for free education in ITI and Polytechnic for the children of workers registered in Dehradun. The Board will completely bear the amount spent on boarding (hostel arrangements), uniform, text books, etc. for the children admitted under the scheme. 75 children will get employment related education in 3 years from these ITI and Polytechnic. Apart from this, the board will also bear the hostel expenses of these children. The government has also decided to give a big gift like ESI for medical security to the registered workers. Till now the workers were deprived of this facility. The government has planned to provide ESI facility to all registered workers without any age limit. The board will bear the entire expense on this. This scheme is considered important as a security cover for registered workers. According to the Board, the entire fee will be borne by the Board for the children of registered workers when they get admission in medical, engineering and other equivalent education in government educational institutions.

These workers will be included in the scheme

In Uttarakhand, apart from the construction workers registered with the Welfare Board, unorganized workers, domestic, MNREGA, SHG, agriculture and landlords, Asha workers, Anganwadi workers, urban unorganized workers, handcarts, hawkers, brick kilns, fishermen, etc. have been included in the scheme. Plan to go.
