Uttarakhand: Election Commission gave notice to Congress in Satpuli liquor case, sought reply within 24 hours on Godiyal’s statement

The problems of Congress candidate Ganesh Godiyal from Garhwal Lok Sabha seat of Uttarakhand may increase. On behalf of the District Election Officer Pauri office, a notice has been issued to the Congress District Committee regarding Ganesh Godiyal and has sought a reply within 24 hours. If no response is given by the party within 24 hours, then action will be taken against Ganesh Godiyal for misusing social media. Congress has recently received this notice on the statement of Ganesh Godiyal, in which he had said that about 9 thousand liquor boxes found in a closed factory near Satpuli in Pauri district belonged to the BJP candidate.

In fact, recently about 9 thousand liquor cases were found in the closed bottling plant near Satpuli, due to which the Congress workers created a ruckus and also complained about it to the Election Commission and the Excise Department. Godiyal had released a video on social media alleging that liquor has been stored illegally in the bottling plant of Satpuli and it belongs to BJP. After the complaint the plot was sealed. However, during investigation by the Excise Department, the liquor was found to be legal. Investigation by the Excise Department revealed that these liquor boxes were there even before the plot was closed.

At the same time, on the complaint of BJP in this matter, the Election Commission has sent a notice to Congress District President Pauri. The Election Commission asked the Congress that the allegations made by your candidate Godiyal through social media against BJP candidate from Garhwal Lok Sabha seat Anil Baluni have been found baseless in the investigation. There has been no confirmation of the veracity of the allegations. If you have any evidence related to your allegations, submit it within 24 hours. If no evidence is presented from your side, then action will be taken against Ganesh Godiyal for spreading false and misleading propaganda on social media.

After the notice, Congress’ stance on this matter seems to be a bit soft. District President of Congress Vinod Negi says that the aim of Congress was not to tarnish the image of any leader. Godiyal had given this reaction only on the complaint of the people. In politics, the party and the opposition present their views.

Regarding this notice, BJP spokesperson Suresh Joshi says that Congress is trying to tarnish the image of the BJP candidate with false allegations. A complaint was made to the Election Commission about this earlier also. Now BJP will also take legal action in this matter.

Suresh Joshi says that Congress candidate Godiyal should publicly apologize for the kind of false allegations that BJP and its candidates have made. Congress has been making some false allegations against BJP every day. This is the same Congress, which had even called former CDS late Vipin Rawat a street goon. They don’t stop from abusing even the Prime Minister. Congress is not desisting from doing politics even in the Ankita Bhandari murder case, while the BJP state government is taking appropriate action in this matter. The criminal is in jail. The law is doing its work.
