Amidst the opposition’s allegations of alleged misuse of central agencies during the Lok Sabha elections, PM Narendra Modi has said that the Enforcement Directorate (ED) is doing excellent work. Modi said, 97% of the agency’s cases are on people who are not involved in politics. Only 3% of the cases registered by ED are against people associated with politics. Will the Constitution change?
Will ‘crossing 400’ bring about changes in the Constitution and end the diversity of the country? On this allegation of the opposition, Modi said that the problem lies with those who are making such allegations. They want to mold the country into a single structure. We worship diversity, we celebrate it. I don’t understand on what basis are you making such allegations against the person who celebrated Tamil language – the oldest language – in the United Nations? When I wear clothes from different states, they have a problem. The problem is that they want to mold the country into a single mold. We worship diversity. We celebrate it. We have said, why can’t one become a doctor or engineer using one’s mother tongue? When I speak about the mother tongue, it means I am celebrating it, I am extolling its greatness.

When this case was going on in the court, efforts were made to prevent the verdict from coming…. For him it was a political weapon. …Now that Ram temple has been built, this issue has gone out of their hands….

‘My word is my responsibility’
Modi said you can lose your life but not your word. I believe that politicians should take responsibility. What I say is my responsibility and I have also guaranteed it. Take the Article 370 issue only, this has been the commitment of our party. I showed courage and removed 370. Today the fate of Jammu and Kashmir has changed. I am giving guarantee to the people by saying ‘Modi’s guarantee’. They will be fulfilled in any case. PM said on ‘One Nation, One Election’ that this is our commitment. Many people in the country have come with us. Have given your suggestions to the committee. If we are able to implement this report then the country will benefit a lot.

‘Our tricolor is our strength’
The PM also discussed the ongoing war between Russia and Ukraine. Told how due to his efforts Indian students stranded in Ukraine could be brought back. The PM said that I have good relations with the Presidents of both the countries. When Indian students were trapped there during the war, I found a way out by talking to both of them. Modi said, the strength of the Indian flag was seen during the crisis. The strength of the Indian flag was such that even if a foreigner held the tricolor in his hand, there would be a place for him too. So my flag became my guarantee. Became my strength. The PM also referred to the 2015 incident when it was difficult to evacuate Indian citizens from Yemen during the bombing by Saudi Arabia and its allies. The PM said, ‘I spoke to the Saudi King and told him that I want to bring people there from Yemen. Because of your bombardment we are not able to do this. At the request of India, the bombing was stopped and we brought our people out by plane.
