Fire broke out on the second floor of Home Ministry, Xerox machine, computer and documents burnt

Incidents of fire are also coming to light amid the scorching heat in Delhi. A fire broke out on the second floor of the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) office located in the North Block of the Central Secretariat on Tuesday (April 16) in the morning. Due to which there was a stir in the office and the fire brigade reached the spot and after a lot of effort, they brought the fire under control.

Giving this information, a fire department official said that there is no news of any casualty in this fire. According to news agency PTI, a senior official of Delhi Fire Service (DFS) said that immediately after receiving the information, seven fire brigade vehicles reached the spot and the fire was brought under control by 9:35 am. According to DFS, the fire was reported at around 9.20 am on the second floor in the IC division of the Home Ministry’s office, after which firefighters brought the fire under control by 9.35 am.

The fire that started from the AC unit reached the documents

According to the report of Mirror Now, the fire started from the AC unit. The official said that in this incident, along with AC, Xerox machine, some computers and some documents, fans also caught fire and were damaged. The office where this fire broke out was said to be the office of the IT department. According to the report, due to short circuit in the AC, the fire first started in the AC and then spread slowly.

The officer said that there is no information about any casualty in this incident. The official said that Union Home Minister Amit Shah was not present in the building at the time of the fire, but many senior officials were present there.
