Uttarakhand: Boycott of elections at 12 polling stations, people did not agree even after the Commission explained

Till 3 pm in Uttarakhand, 45.62% voting took place. At some places, enthusiasm was seen among the voters. At some booths only six people voted and at other places only 11 people voted. People boycotted the elections at eight polling stations in Chakrata, two in Chamoli, two in Pauri and three in Pithoragarh.

Additional Chief Electoral Officer Jogdande said that efforts were made to convince people at all places. 11 votes were cast in Seku village of Uttarkashi. All the employees are included in this, no one from the village voted. People have many issues including roads, due to which they have expressed their displeasure.

There is silence at many booths in Uttarakhand. Voters are not reaching Cantonment Higher Primary School, Clementtown, in the capital Dehradun. Six votes were cast since morning in polling booth 91 of Mussoorie MGVS High School, Kafalani. The surrounding villagers have boycotted the elections. The police and administration are trying to convince the people, but the villagers of Motidhar, Masrana, Beach Kafalani, Lohari Garh, Dok, Patrani and Ratnali Gad are not ready to cast their votes. Employees deployed on election duty are waiting for the voters. At the same time, no voter has yet reached Deorada polling station in Tharali.
