‘Now Mahabharata will begin…’ RLD said on Priyanka Gandhi contesting from Wayanad

After the decision of Indian National Congress leader Rahul Gandhi to vacate the Wayanad Lok Sabha seat in Kerala, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra will now contest from there. Rashtriya Lok Dal has reacted to this decision of Congress. RLD leader Maluk has said that it seems that now Mahabharata will begin.

He said- After 20 years of desire and 20 years of penance and waiting, Priyanka Gandhi’s wish was finally fulfilled. And Acharya Pramod Krishnam’s prediction also came true that Congress cannot move forward without Priyanka Gandhi. But it is a matter of thought that she has been active in UP for 20 years. Priyanka was in charge in Amethi and Rae Bareli, now she has been sent to the South and Rahul Gandhi has kept UP in his hands. So now it seems that Mahabharata is about to begin inside.

How has Priyanka’s political journey been?

Let us tell you that after coming into active politics, in January 2019, Priyanka was made the general secretary in charge of important eastern Uttar Pradesh and then she was made the general secretary in charge of the entire state. Although the Congress did not perform very well in the 2019 elections, Priyanka continued her efforts to strengthen the organization at the grassroots level.

In December 2023, Priyanka was made general secretary “without portfolio” and emerged as the Congress’s chief strategist and later the party’s star campaigner for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.

Priyanka also helped strengthen the organization and led the party’s campaign in Himachal Pradesh and helped the party come to power in the state. Her campaign helped the Congress win 99 seats in the recently concluded Lok Sabha elections. Whereas, this figure was 52 in 2019.

If Priyanka Gandhi wins the Lok Sabha by-election, it will be the first time that Sonia, Rahul and Priyanka will be in Parliament together. Sonia Gandhi is currently a Rajya Sabha member from Rajasthan.
