Heavy rain wreaks havoc in Uttarakhand, bridges broken at some places and roads caved in at others

Heavy rain havoc is being seen everywhere in Uttarakhand. Roads have been blocked due to debris on the mountains. At some places, the bridge has collapsed. Along with this, roads have collapsed at many places. So far, more than four people have died in the state due to debris.
Bridge connecting Ranikhet-Ramnagar washed away

Due to heavy rains, the bridge near Mohan on the Ramnagar-Bhatraunjkhan motor road collapsed and fell into the river. Due to the collapse of the bridge, the main road connecting Ramnagar via Mohan Ranikhet-Almora has been closed. Due to which people are facing difficulties. Traffic has been diverted from here.

Badrinath Highway closed due to debris
Let us tell you that due to torrential rains in Chamoli, the road has been blocked near Baldauda bridge ahead of Vishnu Prayag. At the same time, boulders have fallen on the highway at Totaghati and Safed Pahad. The NH is continuously removing the debris with the help of JCB. The administration is instructing the drivers to drive carefully during traffic.

Landslide near Quarab on Haldwani-Bhowali-Almora highway
Monsoon rains have wreaked havoc in Uttarakhand. The traffic has come to a complete standstill due to the landslide near Quarab on Haldwani-Bhowali-Almora highway. In view of the danger, the administration has closed the traffic on the highway. The danger is increasing due to continuous rain since late night.

Tanakpur-Champawat NH closed due to heavy rain
The Tanakpur Champawat NH has once again been closed near Swala due to continuous torrential rain in Champawat district on Sunday, July 7. Apart from this, debris and stones have come at many places in the NH. The administration has completely closed the traffic on NH for safety reasons and has appealed to all people to stay in safe places and not to travel.

Due to heavy rains, a bridge built on Chakluwa Pass on Haldwani-Dehradun State Highway was damaged on Sunday. Both the pillars of the bridge have been damaged due to strong currents. In such a situation, there is a possibility of the bridge collapsing anytime.
