Uttarakhand: CM’s secretary Shailesh Bagauli inspected the arrangements of USDMA’s control room, said – SEOC’s role is important during disaster
Secretary Chief Minister Shailesh Bagauli on Monday reached the State Emergency Operations Center located at Uttarakhand State Disaster Management Authority (USDMA) and took information about the preparations for the monsoon. He also took stock of the arrangements in the control room.
Secretary Chief Minister Shailesh Bagauli reached USDMA Bhawan located at IT Park around 10 am on Monday and obtained information from the officials about the arrangements for the monsoon in the control room. He took information from the experts of USDMA about how information and alerts are forwarded in the control room. He also took updates from the experts about how the weather is being monitored from the control room and how the general public is being alerted.
He also asked the officials about the current situation of the districts regarding the heavy to very heavy rain alert in the state by the Meteorological Department. He also took information about the deployment of nodal officers of various departments in the control room. He said that the role of the State Emergency Operations Center is very important in dealing with the disaster, making people aware and providing quick assistance.
Secretary Disaster Management and Rehabilitation Vinod Kumar Suman said that the State Emergency Operations Center is working 24×7. The situation in the entire state is being continuously monitored from the control room in view of the monsoon. Taking immediate action on the calls of the general public in the control room, the problems are being resolved at the level of the concerned DMMO. He said that in case of any problem due to rain, the general public can register their problems by calling 1077 and 1070. The problem will be resolved immediately at the level of the concerned departments. On this occasion, Duty Officer Alok Kumar Singh, SEOC Day Incharge Dr. Pooja Rana, various subject experts of USDMA and nodal officers of various departments were present.

Dehradun. Additional Chief Executive Officer Implementation of USDMA Rajkumar Negi held a meeting with the nodal officers on Monday and gave necessary guidelines. He said that information is being taken from the disaster management officers of various districts every moment. Every situation is being monitored in the control room through police wireless, forest wireless and nodal officers of various departments. The control room is operational 24 hours a day and 7 days a week and nodal officers are deployed at all times. He said that a satellite phone is also installed in the control room and in special circumstances communication will be done through it as well.
