After which his statement went viral on social media and became a topic of discussion among the people.
Meanwhile, doctors of Tata Memorial Hospital, one of the largest cancer hospitals in the country, have issued a letter and raised questions on these claims of Sidhu. After which Sidhu has also taken a U-turn and clarified his statement. In such a situation, let us know the whole matter in detail.
Navjot Singh Sidhu informed that his wife is cancer free
A few days ago, former cricketer and Congress leader Navjot Singh Sidhu held a press conference. In which he told that his wife Navjot Kaur Sidhu is free from stage-4 breast cancer. Doctors had told that the chances of survival were almost zero. But he changed his wife’s lifestyle and diet. Due to which she won the battle against cancer in just 40 days.
Won the battle against cancer by following Ayurvedic diet
His wife followed an Ayurvedic diet during the treatment in which she used neem leaves, lemonade, apple cider vinegar, raw turmeric, and basil etc., which are already commonly used for home remedies in the country. She ate foods and fruits rich in vitamin C. Also, included anti-cancer and anti-inflammatory things in her diet. Used cold pressed oil in food.
She used to start her day with lemonade and tea made of cloves, cardamom, cinnamon and jaggery. She did not consume carbohydrates, sweets etc. Sidhu further said that she also kept a gap between meals. She told that she used to eat at around 6 pm in the evening and then drink lemonade at around 10 am the next morning. After that she used to eat 10-12 neem leaves. By consuming all this, she defeated cancer.
Doctors objected to Sidhu’s statement
More than 200 cancer doctors of Tata Memorial Hospital issued a letter regarding Sidhu’s statement. In which they said that a video of the former cricketer is going viral on social media. In which the former cricketer is making many claims for the treatment of cancer. However, there is no evidence in medical science about these claims.
Research is going on on these Ayurvedic remedies, but at present there is no data that considers turmeric or neem beneficial as anti-cancer agents. Along with this, doctors have also appealed to people not to believe such claims. If you see symptoms of cancer, then consult a doctor and cancer specialist.
Sidhu took a U-turn after the doctors’ statements
After the doctors expressed objection, Navjot Singh Sidhu took a U-turn. He also presented a clarification regarding his statement. In his clarification, he not only called the doctor God but also shared his wife’s diet plan.
Sharing the diet plan on social media platform X, Sidhu said that his wife’s victory in the battle against cancer included surgery, chemotherapy, hormonal and targeted therapy, positivity and determination to fight cancer. He said that the diet plan used by his wife has been prepared with the advice of the world’s renowned doctors. He has no contribution in this.
Let us tell you that even today a large part of the country believes in the remedies mentioned on social media. Instead of taking advice from doctors, they try to treat themselves. Which can also be fatal. Therefore, it is important that you must consult a doctor before trying these remedies.
