Doon Police is running a campaign against those who violate traffic rules. SSP Dehradun today went to the field and visited the city area. Along with this, he conducted a field inspection of accident prone areas in the outer area of the city.
Police strict against those who violate the rules
During the inspection, SSP Ajay Singh inspected the under-construction Dehradun-Delhi Expressway. After the start of the expressway, the SSP assessed the traffic pressure on Asharodi and its surrounding routes. Along with this, he inspected the bottle neck and accident prone areas in Asharodi, Panditwadi, Nanda ki Chowki places in the outer area of the city.
If youth are seen violating the rules, the police will issue challan
SSP Ajay Singh directed to make an effective action plan to curb road accidents and take challan action against drivers, especially the youth, who violate traffic rules. The SSP took information about the reasons for road accidents that occurred earlier at the said places and directed to ensure the arrangement of lights, reflector signs at the said places.
Instructions given to install reflector tape
In view of the possibility of increase in road accidents due to reduced visibility due to fog and haze during winter season, SSP instructed all the police station in-charges to install reflector tape at accident prone places in their respective police station areas and arrange blinker lights at the said places if required. During inspection, SSP stopped the youth driving without helmet and over speeding in Nanda Ki Chowki area and instructed them to follow traffic rules.
