Uttarakhand: BJP postponed the organisational elections,…the party had to form committees at all booths by November 30

After the victory in the Kedarnath by-election, the BJP has now started preparing for the urban body elections. The party has also postponed its organisational elections due to the possibility of the civic election process starting next month. The elections of the district and divisional committees can be held in the second half of January.

Before the Kedarnath by-election, the party was preparing to hold the elections of district and divisional presidents by December. The party had to form committees at all the booths by November 30. But now the party has focused its entire attention on the urban body elections.

First of all, the party has started considering the names of the potential claimants for the ticket according to SC-ST, OBC, women and general category. Recently, in a meeting with all the district presidents, the names were discussed in their civic areas. The party has already deployed in-charges to take feedback on the names. All the in-charges are going to the districts and discussing the names.
