In Uttarakhand, the sister had taken the body of her brother tied to the roof of a Bolero, now the government is busy making an SOP for ambulances
Recently, a picture that shamed humanity came out from Haldwani, which raised many questions on the government and the system. Where a sister could not even get an ambulance to take her brother’s body. Finally, she was forced to take the brother’s body tied to the roof of the Bolero. She also cursed the system. At the same time, the government was criticized on the matter. After which now CM Dhami has given instructions to make SOP regarding ambulance and air ambulance.
In fact, on December 7, Shivani, who works while living on rent in Haldwani, had to plead with many people to take her brother’s body, but no one’s heart melted after seeing the poor and helpless sister. Shivani did not have enough money to take her brother’s body home in an ambulance. When Shivani talked to many ambulance operators, someone asked for 10 thousand and someone asked for 12 thousand rupees.
In such a situation, due to lack of money, Shivani finally contacted the taxi operator of her village. After this, the vehicle from the village reached Haldwani. After which Shivani tied the body of her brother on the roof of the vehicle and took it to the village. It is being told that along with Shivani, her brother Abhishek also worked in a private company in Haldwani. Abhishek died under suspicious circumstances in Haldwani.
In this case, the Health Secretary has sought a report from the Medical Officer of Haldwani. Also asked why the ambulance was not available? On the other hand, after this entire incident, CM Pushkar Dhami held a high-level meeting. In which all the District Magistrates have been instructed that if any dead body has to be taken from one place to another, then the District Magistrate will make arrangements for it. Such news or pictures should not come out again in future.
Instructions to make SOP
At the same time, in the high-level meeting, CM Dhami has instructed the officials to provide ambulance and air ambulance facilities to the needy on time, for which he has been asked to prepare SOP (Standard Operating Procedure). He also directed that in case of death of any person due to ill health, the District Magistrate of the concerned district will ensure financial assistance to the financially weak families who are unable to perform the last rites or the arrangement for the cremation of the deceased.
After the Pithoragarh incident, CM Dhami has said in a strict tone that for any such family who is facing financial problem in transporting the dead body of the deceased to their home, the District Magistrate will take the responsibility or make arrangements to transport the dead body of such person to the home by ambulance at his own level. If such information or picture comes out from anywhere, then the District Magistrate will be responsible for it.
