Union Ayush Secretary Vaidya Rajesh Kotecha praised the good work of Uttarakhand in the National Ayush Mission
The central government has appreciated the progress of Uttarakhand on the National Ayush Mission related to primary health. The central government believes that Uttarakhand is doing better work to fulfill the given goals.
Union Ayush Secretary Vaidya Rajesh Kotecha, who came to Dehradun in connection with the World Ayurveda Congress and Arogya Expo, spoke to the media on Friday. He said that under the National Ayush Mission, efforts are being made to take public health to the last mile at the primary level across the country. Uttarakhand is doing good work in this direction. He told that under this mission, the Ministry of Ayush recently organized more than ten thousand such camps across the country, which were focused on the health care of the elderly. In this too, the work of Uttarakhand was commendable.
Vaidya Kotecha said that in the last ten years, revolutionary progress has been made in the country regarding Ayush. He substantiated his point through data in this regard. He said that before the year 2014, the tele-medicine facility of Ayush was available in 19 countries, which has now increased to 84 countries. Earlier, AYUSH exports were in 150 countries, which has registered a two and a half times increase.
Work going on on AYUSH hospitals
- Under the National AYUSH Mission, concrete work has currently started in Uttarakhand. Work has progressed on four 50-bed AYUSH hospitals, which are to be built in Jakhnidhar-Tehri, Haldwani, Tanakpur and Kotdwar. Similarly, two ten-bed AYUSH hospitals are to be built in Pathri-Haridwar and Bhimtal. In the inaugural session of the World Ayurveda Congress, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami had specially discussed these hospitals. He also said that serious efforts are being made to expand AYUSH facilities.
