Bihar: Nitish Kumar took a big action, removed the state president, made this announcement

Nitish Kumar’s party brought a political earthquake in Manipur. The situation has become such that now Nitish Kumar has removed his party’s Manipur president from the post. The party has said that the state president had announced the withdrawal of support from the BJP government of Manipur without asking the party.

The state president had played a ‘game’

Actually, JDU chief in Manipur Kesh Biren Singh wrote a letter to Governor Ajay Kumar Bhalla and announced that his party is withdrawing its support from the BJP government of Manipur. After this, there was an uproar. Speculations started being made about this letter that Nitish Kumar can now leave the NDA.

Support to NDA will continue

After the uproar, JDU has taken action and removed its state chief and made it clear that its support to the BJP government will continue. JDU issued an official statement saying that this confusion was spread, the JDU state president has been removed from the post. He had issued the letter without asking the party. JDU national spokesperson Rajiv Ranjan said that support to NDA will continue in Manipur.

No threat to the government

However, it is also interesting that the withdrawal of support to the BJP government does not have any direct impact on the government. In the 60-seat Manipur assembly elections held in 2022, BJP won 32 seats. It has a majority. At the same time, JDU got six seats, out of which five MLAs went to BJP. However, JDU continued to support BJP while following the coalition dharma.
