DFO expressed apprehension of mischievous elements

DFO Civil Soyam Pawan Negi said that some mischievous elements carried out the incident of setting fire in the forests near Pauri city. DFO said that as soon as the information was received, his team along with the fire team controlled the fire. He said that his team is continuously going from village to village and making people aware about the ill effects of setting fire in the forests and what are its main reasons. They have started their preparations even before the fire season, but the way mischievous elements are doing such incidents in the forest near the city, it can be very dangerous in the future. Such people will be identified and action will be taken against them as per the rules. The forest department is also working on scanning the nearby CCTV cameras.
