The police of the capital Dehradun has revealed the incident of car robbery and arrested four people including two main accused. The police have arrested all the four accused from near Ghoda Factory Balawala in Raipur police station area. The police recovered a 315 bore country-made pistol, five live cartridges of .32 bore, three live cartridges of 315 bore, two Khukris and three mobiles from the possession of the accused. The police also recovered the looted car.

The police said that the accused was planning to commit a big crime using the looted car. However, the police foiled all the plans of the accused. Dehradun SSP Ajay Singh himself was monitoring this entire operation. According to the police, Imran Ahmed, a resident of Ghaziabad, had lodged a complaint in Raipur police station of Dehradun on March 23.

In his complaint, Imran Ahmed said that he drives Shiv Kumar Gupta’s taxi Swift Desire. His car was booked through UBER on March 22. In the booking, he brought two passengers from Panipat Haryana to Raipur Dehradun. It is alleged that as soon as he reached Raipur with both the passengers, they robbed his car at gunpoint and fled from the spot.

Different teams of SOG (Special Operation Group) were formed. First of all, the police started searching the footage of CCTV cameras installed in the area. According to the police, their team checked about 40 CCTV cameras. Apart from this, the police also verified the people who came from outside and also activated their informer system.

According to the police, on Monday, March 24, their team arrested four people Deepak Malik, Raunak Gehlawat, Vinay Kumar and Dharamveer near Ghoda Factory Balawala on the information of the informer with the looted car. According to SSP Ajay Singh, Deepak Malik and Raunak told the police during interrogation that Dharamveer and Vinay, who were already living in Dehradun, had called them to carry out a big crime. Both of them had also asked them to bring a pistol.

According to the police, the thieves had planned to escape with the stolen car after committing a big crime, but before that the police arrested them. Dharamvir and Vinay told the police that their business of lending money in Dehradun is very good and they easily get 10-15 percent profit on interest.

Their acquaintances Devendra Kumar Sharma alias Sonu Bhardwaj and Harish Sharma alias Monu Bhardwaj have also earned a lot of money in the business and have acquired good property. Both the brothers had earlier gone to jail in a murder case in Raipur area, one of whom is currently out on bail.

The accused had planned to run a business of lending money in Dehradun with the money obtained from the robbery, so that they could earn good profits. For this, both the accused had called their two other associates from Haryana to Dehradun, through whom they were planning to carry out a big robbery in Dehradun.
