GMVN is doing great before the Chardham Yatra, pre-booking of 2 crores has been done so far, hopes have wings

Uttarakhand Chardham Yatra 2025 will start with the opening of the doors of Gangotri and Yamunotri Dham on 30th April. Tourism, police, health, transport and other departments are also busy preparing for the Yatra. So that better facilities can be provided to the devotees coming on Chardham Yatra.

In view of the Chardham Yatra, devotees are also booking the guest house of Garhwal Mandal Vikas Nigam in large numbers. The special thing is that so far booking of more than two crore rupees has been done. Along with this, the Health Department and Transport Department are also engaged in preparations.

The doors will open on this day: The date for opening the doors of Chardham in Uttarakhand has already been decided. Under which the doors of Gangotri and Yamunotri Dham will be opened on Akshaya Tritiya on 30th April. With this, Chardham Yatra 2025 will start. After this, the doors of Kedarnath on 2nd May and Badrinath Dham on 4th May will be opened for the devotees.

After the dates for the opening of the doors of the Chardham Yatra were decided, the registration process of devotees has also started from March 20. There is a lot of enthusiasm among the devotees to come on the Chardham Yatra. Actually, the registration process of devotees started from 7 am on March 20. Under which 6,79,489 devotees have registered till 5 pm on March 24.

  • 27,9714 devotees have registered for Kedarnath Dham.

This time the registration will be authenticated by Aadhar card. Under which the devotees will have to give their Aadhar card details during registration. At the same time, 60 percent of the total registrations will be online. Whereas, 40 percent will be offline. So that the passengers do not face any problem.

Vishal Mishra, General Manager of Garhwal Mandal Development Corporation (GMVN) said that regarding the preparations for the Chardham Yatra, the employees of GMVN have been instructed that all the guest houses on the travel route should be repaired before the start of the journey. A team has also been formed for this, which is inspecting the guest house and giving a report.

On the basis of the report, the work of upgrading the guest house is going on. So far, booking of more than Rs 2 crore has been done. Which is likely to increase further. He said that efforts will be made to inform those who have made bookings about what to do and what not to do during the journey.

Chardham pilgrims will taste Uttarakhandi food

Vishal Mishra said that in all the guest houses of GMVN, cooks who prepare modern food as well as traditional food have been kept. Because, people who come from outside want to taste the traditional dishes of Uttarakhand. Therefore, traditional food of Uttarakhand is also being included.

For this, instructions have been given to buy only the traditional food products of ‘House of Himalayas’. After which the process of purchasing traditional food products has started in all the canteens of GMVN. With this initiative, not only will people get the benefit of traditional dishes. But, House of Himalayas will also get business.

This is the preparation of the Transport Department

At the same time, the Transport Department is also busy in its preparations for the Chardham Yatra. Chardham Yatra’s Transport Nodal Officer Sunil Sharma said that the Transport Department is making preparations for the Chardham Yatra in full swing and most of the work has been completed. Apart from this, a meeting was recently held with transport related businessmen (bus, tempo traveler, maxi, taxi and tour and travel operators).

The main objective of this meeting was to provide good, safe and reasonable vehicle facilities to the passengers in the Chardham Yatra. Along with this, these people should behave well with the passengers. Also, all tour and travel operators should register their passengers. So that they can be easily sent to their destination by making a trip card.

Hospitals are ready in Kedarnath and Badrinath

The Health Department is also engaged in preparations for the Chardham Yatra. At the same time, on the question of the preparations of the Health Department, Health Minister Dhan Singh Rawat said that for the last two years, there has been a lot of control in the figures of deaths of devotees on the Chardham Yatra routes. Lakhs of people are treated during the Chardham Yatra. Thousands of people are cured in the hospital.

He said that along with this, air ambulance facility is also provided to patients with critical condition. However, till now there was a shortage of hospitals in Badrinath and Kedarnath, but now hospitals have been built in these Dhams. Which will start operating from the upcoming Chardham Yatra.

CM Dhami said – Chardham Yatra Authority will be formed

At the same time, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that he himself is reviewing the preparations for the Chardham Yatra. To further organize the Chardham Yatra, ‘Chardham Yatra Authority’ is going to be formed. Which will conduct the journey duly.

Along with this, the places around the Chardham temples are also being considered to be developed. CM Dhami said that he is emphasizing on improving the registration process and conducting the journey in a better manner. For this, before the start of the Yatra, a department-wise review of the departments related to the Chardham Yatra will be done.
