Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami participated in a tribute ceremony held on Wednesday at the Harbans Kapoor Memorial Community Hall in Garhi Cantt, Dehradun, on the occasion of the 80th birth anniversary of the late Harbans Kapoor. The Chief Minister paid his respects by offering floral tributes to a portrait of the late Harbans Kapoor. The Chief Minister said that the late Harbans Kapoor was an inspiration to all and that his work style will continue to guide future generations.
The Chief Minister said that the late Harbans Kapoor always prioritized the interests of society and the public throughout his life. His entire life was dedicated to the people and their welfare. His contribution to the field of development will always be remembered. Sharing his memories of the late Kapoor, the Chief Minister said that he was a symbol of simplicity and sensitivity. He worked for the welfare of every section of society and approached every issue related to the state’s development with a positive outlook.
Cabinet Minister Ganesh Joshi paid his respects to the late Harbans Kapoor, saying that Mr. Kapoor was an ideal public leader who dedicated every moment of his life to public service. He said that the late Kapoor was his political mentor and that Mr. Kapoor’s contribution is significant in whatever position he holds today. He added that Harbans Kapoor’s contribution to the development of the state will always be exemplary. MLA Smt. Savita Kapoor, office bearer Shyam Agarwal, and others were also present on the occasion.

The Chief Minister said that Uttarakhand has immense potential for Malta production. The state government has announced a concrete initiative in this direction by launching the Malta Mission, which will promote the production, marketing, and value addition of Malta. He said that this mission will increase the income of farmers in the hilly regions and give local fruits a new identity at the national level.
The Chief Minister said that the state government is promoting the production of not only Malta but also kiwi, apples, peaches, plums, citrus fruits, and other local fruits. He said that events like the Malta Festival connect farmers directly with consumers and the market. IG ITBP Sanjay Gunjyal and others were also present on the occasion.
