In the 23 days of the ongoing “Government for the People, at the People’s Doorstep” program in the state, more than 16,000 grievances were resolved at the multi-purpose camps organized at the Nyaya Panchayat (village council) level. Over two lakh people participated in the program, with 1,21,375 individuals benefiting from the government’s welfare schemes.
Under this program, which began on December 17, more than 300 camps have been organized across all districts of Uttarakhand. 1,97,522 citizens participated in these camps, presenting their problems, suggestions, and needs to the concerned officials.
During the program, 22,645 complaints were received from the general public, of which more than 16,000 have been resolved. Action is being taken on the remaining complaints as per the rules.
The Chief Minister stated that the camps have also effectively connected citizens with government services. 33,158 applications were received for various types of certificates, while 1,21,375 citizens directly benefited from various state government welfare schemes.
The “Government for the People, at the People’s Doorstep” program is not just a program, but a campaign of service, solutions, and sensitivity. Widespread public participation has been witnessed in all districts, including Almora, Haridwar, Tehri, Pauri, Udham Singh Nagar, and Dehradun, which is proof that the public trusts the government.
The Chief Minister instructed officials to ensure the timely, transparent, and high-quality resolution of the received complaints and applications, so that public trust is further strengthened. The state government will continue to reach out to the people with the same commitment and will maintain good governance, transparency, and public welfare as its top priorities.
